Open the sign-up page
Go to console.opentype.dev/sign-up and fill in the Create a free account form.

Fill in the form
A password that appears in a known breach is refused, even if it is long enough. Pick another one.

Verify your email
Follow the instructions in the verification email. Verifying does two things:
- It confirms you own the address.
- It adds $5 of free credit to your organization.

Sign in
Sign in to the console. A welcome callout confirms the credit:
Welcome. $X of credit is on your account., with your current balance in place of $X.What you get
$5 goes a long way. The three-question run in the quickstart costs 19 micro-USD, so the grant covers more than 250,000 runs like it. Each run needs $0.02 of available credit to start, because it holds that amount until it finishes; see Models and pricing.
When the credit runs out, runs are refused with
402 insufficient_credits until you buy credits or turn on auto-recharge.
Sign in
The console offers four ways to sign in.Reset a forgotten password
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in form and follow the instructions sent to your email address. If you only need to get in once, Email me a code instead works without a password.Choose an organization
After you sign in, the console needs to know which organization you are working in.- You belong to several. The Choose an organization screen lists them. Pick the one you want to work in.
- You belong to none. The console shows Your account has no organization yet and leads to the Create organization form. Create one to continue.
